Latest News We have just completed the 2011 West End Outback Odyssey which was the events 20th Anniversary.
Saturday 23rd July Entrants assembled at the Torrens Parade Grounds in the city from 6:30 am onwards for the send off of the 20th Anniversary West End Outback Odyssey. The event was flagged off by Russell Ebert with over 40 pre 1985 bash cars and 4WD supports driving off for an adventure of a lifetime. Todays journey would take us along the Malley highway to Murrayvile in Vic. for lunch. The first control section after lunch was through a sandy Wyperfeld NP. The bash cars struggled through the sand and relied on many support vehicles to pull them out so they could continue on to Balranald for dinner at the Balranald Football Club where the Lions club catered for a sccrumptious 3 course dinner. 2011 Theme The Odyssey committee has decided on the fun themes of hippies and beachcombers which we think sits well with the final destination of Byron Bay. Confirmed Entrants Entrants who have paid the $1,500 non-refundable deposit will have their car, crew members and sponsors featured on the Confirmed Entrants page on our newly revamped website. As soon as you pay your deposit, send in your car picture and details and we will upload this onto the website. 2011 Survey / Event Route We have just completed the survey for the 2011 event. We think it will be an exciting event with plenty of the land recovering from drought witht he recent rains. We anticipate setting up some nightly entertainment for you to all enjoy.
